Couch to Crunch Home Workout

What do you do when it’s 8:30 pm,  you’ve worked two jobs, you cleaned your house, cooked dinner and sat on the couch with absolutely no energy to workout?

 

I know as soon as I sit on my couch – there’s no chance I’ll get back up.  Our bodies are so used to running on empty for so long that when we finally sit and allow our bodies to catch up with us it is VERY difficult to pick the speed back up.

 

Today,  my Apple Watch was taunting me and sending me not so subtle messages that it was time to get my butt in gear.  I’m limited with workouts right now and I have done a few days of weight training at my limit so I decided to mix it up with circuits in my living room.  And I know I’m not alone with feeling run down!  So I created this quick and easy routine that gives you a great workout and gets you off the couch after a long day!

 

Circuit 1: 3 rounds

  • Plié squats with pulse x 15
  • Toe touches x 15
  • Push ups x 15
  • Running high knees 30 seconds

 

Circuit 2: 3 rounds

  • Lunges x 10 each
  • plank 60 seconds
  • Elevated Dips x 15
  • Mountain climbers 30 seconds

 

Circuit 3: 3 rounds

  • Single leg deadlift x 10 each
  • Tuck ups x 15
  • Side plank with leg lifts x 15 each
  • Jumping jacks 30 seconds
